Critical Skills. These are non-negotiable
- Guidewire Data Structures. Deep understanding of Guidewire base tables for commercial and personal lines product models (e.g.: relationships, key structure, grain, table type, etc.)
- Guidewire CDA. Experience with CDA implementation. CDA implementation is not within scope, but familiarity with the parquet files will be critical as these files stored in database tables will be the source for our solution.
Beneficial Skills.
- Guidewire DataHub. Understanding of translation from GW base tables to DataHub. Experience with DH will be beneficial as much of our data model follows standard DataHub design
- Guidewire Application. Knowledge of GW implementations would be beneficial, particularly as we enter testing phases and interaction with the application team will be required to execute functional scenarios and validate their delivery within the data lake
- Data Lake Design and Architecture. Experience with data warehousing concepts, design, and implementation. Foundational data modeling experience, understanding how to navigate a normalized data model. Implementation of Audit, Balance, and Control mechanism within data lake.
- Any experience in developing ingestion pipelines within Databricks will be helpful but not a must have. Actual development happens offshore, but guidance to the team will be required.
- Business Objects Data Services (BODS). Familiarity with how to reverse engineer existing BODS pipelines to mirror current state processing within the new data lake.
