Summary: The Guidewire Developer role is a contract position based in London, focusing on large-scale transformation programmes within the Lloyd's Market Insurance sector. The developer will be part of an agile team responsible for designing and implementing solutions using the Guidewire suite. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and configure Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) to meet business needs.
  • Develop custom code using Gosu and Java, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and testers to deliver high-quality configurations and integrations.
  • Support data migration, API integration, and deployment activities.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement within the development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and provide technical expertise across multiple environments.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Guidewire Developer, ideally on enterprise-scale transformation programmes.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more Guidewire modules (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
  • Strong knowledge of Gosu, Java, XML, SOAP/REST APIs, and integration techniques.
  • Familiarity with the Lloyd’s / London Market or wider commercial insurance domain (highly desirable).
  • Experience working within Agile / DevOps delivery environments.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.

Guidewire Developer – Contract

Location: London (100% remote)

Rate: £500 – £650 per day (Outside IR35)

Duration: Initial 6–12 months (with strong extension potential)

About the Role:

We are currently working with several leading Lloyd’s Market insurers who are embarking on large-scale Guidewire transformation programmes across Underwriting, Policy Administration, and Claims . As a Guidewire Developer (Contract) , you’ll join an agile delivery team responsible for designing, developing, and implementing key solutions within the Guidewire suite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter). You’ll be instrumental in driving platform modernisation and improving end-to-end operational efficiency.
