Summary: The Guidewire Developer role is a contract position based in London, focusing on large-scale transformation programmes within the Lloyd's Market Insurance sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and configure Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) to meet business needs.
- Develop custom code using Gosu and Java, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and testers to deliver high-quality configurations and integrations.
- Support data migration, API integration, and deployment activities.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement within the development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and provide technical expertise across multiple environments.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Guidewire Developer, ideally on enterprise-scale transformation programmes.
- Hands-on experience with one or more Guidewire modules (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
- Strong knowledge of Gosu, Java, XML, SOAP/REST APIs, and integration techniques.
- Familiarity with the Lloyd’s / London Market or wider commercial insurance domain (highly desirable).
- Experience working within Agile / DevOps delivery environments.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.

About the Role:
We are currently working with several leading Lloyd’s Market insurers who are embarking on large-scale Guidewire transformation programmes across Underwriting, Policy Administration, and Claims . As a Guidewire Developer (Contract) , you’ll join an agile delivery team responsible for designing, developing, and implementing key solutions within the Guidewire suite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter). You’ll be instrumental in driving platform modernisation and improving end-to-end operational efficiency.
