GP Consultant

Summary: This role is for a GP Consultant who will provide part-time, fully remote support for Microsoft Dynamics GP, focusing on troubleshooting and resolving issues related to finance and accounting functions. The consultant will work independently, communicating with stakeholders and documenting solutions to enhance system stability. The position requires extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing support for Microsoft Dynamics GP.
• Troubleshoot and resolve GP-related issues across finance and accounting functions.
• Support users with posting, batch processing, and transaction-related errors.
• Diagnose issues involving customizations and third-party integrations.
• Analyze and troubleshoot SQL Server databases supporting GP.
• Create, review, and execute SQL scripts when necessary.
• Document solutions and recurring issues.
• Communicate directly with IT and business stakeholders.
• Provide recommendations to improve overall system stability and support processes.

Key Skills:

• 5+ years of Microsoft Dynamics GP experience.
• Strong experience supporting on-premises GP environments.
• Advanced SQL Server troubleshooting skills.
• Experience supporting customized GP environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience providing ad hoc production support.
• Experience supporting ERP integrations.
• Background in manufacturing, distribution, or similar industries.
• Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central migration paths.
• Familiarity with GP database architecture and reporting tools.
• Consulting or managed-services experience.

Salary (Rate): £45.00 hourly
