Summary: STAFFXPERT LLC is looking for a Google Workspace Engineer to work in a fully remote capacity. The role demands a hands-on expert in Google Workspace, focusing on Gmail mail flow, incident management, and automation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Own day-to-day incident response for Google Workspace, with a strong focus on Gmail performance, routing, and delivery issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:
    • Gmail inbox behavior, filters, labels, and storage quotas
    • Mail routing, DNS configurations (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and SMTP/relay setups
    • Authentication and access (SSO, OAuth, SAML)
  • Leverage Google Admin SDK and Gmail APIs to:
    • Investigate cross-user and cross-domain issues
    • Develop automation scripts for reporting, monitoring, and remediation
  • Drive operational efficiency through automation, including health checks and validation scripts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve high-impact issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes
  • Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex Google Workspace and Gmail-related incidents
  • Implement and maintain best practices for:
    • Gmail security and compliance policies
    • Sharing settings and group configurations
    • Audit logging and monitoring
  • Support coexistence with Microsoft 365, including mail flow and integration scenarios
  • Maintain and update technical documentation such as runbooks, knowledge base articles, and playbooks
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical production incidents

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience with Gmail API and Google Admin SDK
  • Proficiency with REST APIs
  • Hands-on scripting experience in Python and/or PowerShell
