About the Role
We are looking for a Google Cloud Certified Technical Account Manager to serve as the primary technical relationship owner for key client accounts. This role blends technical depth with account management, ensuring clients maximize the value, reliability, and performance of their Google Cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned client accounts on Google Cloud Platform.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with client stakeholders, from engineering teams to executive sponsors.
- Proactively monitor account health, usage trends, and cloud spend, providing optimization recommendations.
- Coordinate with Google Cloud support and engineering teams to resolve technical issues, escalations, and incidents.
- Conduct regular technical business reviews (TBRs) summarizing account performance, risks, and roadmap alignment.
- Advise clients on Google Cloud Platform best practices across architecture, security, reliability, and cost management.
- Identify opportunities for account growth, additional Google Cloud Platform service adoption, and technical enablement.
- Partner with sales, solutions engineering, and delivery teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing account success.
- Track and report on SLAs, support ticket trends, and overall client satisfaction.
- Stay current on Google Cloud Platform product updates, roadmap changes, and industry best practices to proactively advise clients.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in technical account management, customer success, or cloud consulting roles.
- Strong working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services and architecture fundamentals.
- Experience managing enterprise client relationships with a mix of technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical issues into business impact and vice versa.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience delivering executive-level presentations.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
Required Certification
- Google Cloud Certified (one or more of the following required): Associate Cloud Engineer, or Professional Cloud Architect, or Professional Cloud Network Engineer
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a formal Technical Account Manager or Customer Success Engineer role at a cloud provider or partner organization.
- Familiarity with ITIL, incident management, and SLA-based support models.
- Experience with cloud cost management/FinOps practices.
- Background supporting clients in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government) is a plus.
Educational Qualifications
- Required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or closely related or equivalent.
- Preferred - Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Big Data or Analytics or equivalent.
Travel: Open to travel based up on the nature of the engagement.
