Summary: The Google Cloud Platform Architect / SME role requires a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in cloud architecture, specifically within the Google Cloud Platform. The position is remote and focuses on designing and implementing cloud solutions while collaborating with various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement solutions using Google Cloud Platform services.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to influence cloud architecture decisions.
  • Utilize tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager for cloud deployments.
  • Manage networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines and apply cloud DevOps practices.
  • Work with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Engage with data platforms and analytics for cloud-native application development.

Key Skills:

  • 15+ years of overall IT experience with at least 10+ years in cloud architecture.
  • Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, GKE, Cloud Functions, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and identity management.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE).
  • Background in CI/CD pipeline design and cloud DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Certification: Google Professional Cloud Architect (preferred).

Rate: $70/hr W2 or $75/hr on c2c
