Summary: We are looking for a Google Cloud Platform Architect with expertise in cloud network infrastructure to design, deploy, and maintain networking solutions on Google Cloud Platform. The role requires deep knowledge of Google Cloud networking services and automation tools to ensure reliable connectivity and performance in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The ideal candidate will focus on network architecture, deployment, security, troubleshooting, and automation. This position is remote and classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust network architectures using Google Cloud Platform VPC, subnets, and IP address management.
  • Define network segmentation, firewall rules, and security zones aligned with organizational policies.
  • Deploy and configure key Google Cloud Platform network services: Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud VPN, Cloud Interconnect, and Cloud DNS.
  • Establish secure and scalable hybrid connectivity between on-premises data centers and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Apply cloud networking security best practices including IAM policies, encryption, and Cloud Armor.
  • Design and enforce secure communication using VPNs and dedicated interconnects.
  • Proactively monitor and resolve network issues to ensure high availability and low latency.
  • Optimize network configurations to improve throughput and minimize packet loss.
  • Maintain comprehensive network documentation and runbooks.
  • Leverage automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Deployment Manager to streamline network provisioning.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for routine tasks such as scaling networks or updating firewall rules.
