Job Description:
- A Google Cloud Platform Architect is responsible for designing, delivering, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform, collaborating across teams to align technical architecture with business goals.
- A Google Cloud Platform Architect plays a critical strategic and technical role in driving an organization s cloud adoption and digital transformation efforts using Google Cloud technologies. The role combines deep technical expertise with business acumen, leadership, and cross-team collaboration to build modern cloud infrastructures that are scalable, secure, efficient, and aligned with business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud architectures: Develop scalable, reliable, and secure solutions using Google Cloud services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, etc.
- Lead cloud migration projects: Plan and execute migration of on-premises applications and infrastructure to Google Cloud, ensuring minimal disruption and optimized performance.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Build and automate infrastructure deployment using tools like Terraform and Google Cloud Deployment Manager to manage cloud resources programmatically.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, business stakeholders, and cloud partners to ensure integration, performance optimization, and adherence to best practices.
- Security and compliance: Implement security policies including Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, firewall configuration, and continuous compliance monitoring to protect cloud resources.
