Summary: The Google Apps Script Developer role involves designing, developing, and maintaining custom automation solutions using Google Workspace tools. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop custom scripts and add-ons using Google Apps Script (JavaScript-based).
- Automate workflows across Google Sheets, Forms, Docs, Slides, Calendar, and Gmail.
- Build custom Google Workspace add-ons and UI components using Google Apps Script and HTML/CSS.
- Integrate Google Workspace with third-party APIs and services (e.g., Slack, Salesforce, Jira, REST APIs).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable solutions.
- Write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Debug, test, and optimize scripts to ensure reliability and performance.
- Maintain version control using Git or Google Apps Script built-in versioning.
- Provide ongoing support and enhancements to existing scripts and automation tools.
Key Skills:
- 2 4+ years of experience working with Google Apps Script in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES5/ES6) and web technologies (HTML, CSS).
- Experience automating workflows in Google Sheets, Docs, Forms, and Gmail.
- Hands-on experience with Google Workspace APIs and integrations.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
