Summary: As a GO Software Engineer, you will collaborate with a development team to create a cloud application for wire services, utilizing an innovative technology stack. The role involves building, testing, and maintaining backend services in a microservices architecture while engaging with various stakeholders across the organization. This position offers remote work flexibility within the US, requiring a minimum of 6 hours overlap with the CST schedule. You will also be responsible for understanding banking-related domains and resolving defects in collaboration with customer support teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building, testing, deploying, maintaining, and scaling backend services in a microservices architecture using the Go programming language.
  • Working with engineering teams to identify needs, prioritize and plan work, and develop solutions that align with product development.
  • Gaining a deep understanding of specific banking-related domains and their impact on products.
  • Participating with customer support teams to resolve or diagnose defects and issues.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of programming experience in GO/GoLang with backend development in microservices.
  • Proactive engineer mindset with a focus on delivery and solution-oriented communication.
  • Experience building microservices architecture using Go.
  • Experience developing cloud-hosted applications, preferably on Google Cloud Platform or Azure.
  • Nice to have: Experience with AI, Machine Learning, Infrastructure as code, continuous integration pipelines, observability, monitoring, Cloud Spanner, Mongo Atlas, event-based systems, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Job Description
In your daily activities as a GO Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a development team creating the new cloud application for wire services using an innovative technology stack as well as engage daily with other Software engineers, DevOps engineers, Product owners and Business Analysts, on your team and across the organization.


This position can be worked remotely anywhere in the US. Working hours are flexible but a minimum of 6 hours of overlap with CST schedule is required.

What you would be responsible for:
Building, testing, deploying, maintaining, and scaling backend services in a microservices architecture using the Go programming language, datastores, asynchronous processing using events, and more.
Working with your engineering teams to identify needs, prioritize and plan work, and develop solutions that keep pace with product development.
Gaining a deep and comprehensive understanding of specific banking-related domains your team owns and working with and understanding how changes in those domains impact products.
Participating with customer support teams to resolve or diagnose defects and issues.
May perform other job duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

- Minimum 5 years of programming experience - GO/GoLang - backend development building microservices.
- Engineer mindset: proactivity and delivery, never sit idle waiting for others to tell you what to do. Look for solutions, propose improvements, communicate, participate.
- Experience building microservices architecture using Go.
- Experience developing cloud-hosted applications (e.g., Google Cloud Platform). - OR Azure, Google Cloud Platform Preferred

Nice to have skills:
- Experience with AI, Machine Learning and/or experience with training Large Language Models (LLM).
- Experience with any or all the following: Infrastructure as code, continuous integration pipelines, observability, and monitoring, Cloud Spanner, Mongo Atlas, event-based or distributed systems, Docker, and Kubernetes (PaaS/Container orchestration platform).
