This is a part-time unpaid volunteer role at a pre-seed startup, requiring a commitment of approximately 6 hours per week. The tester will collaborate with engineering teams to identify bugs and validate visa eligibility logic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive end-to-end testing of the eMigr8 platform, specifically focusing on the AI Visa Architect (Dr. Zenith) and assessment tools.
- Identify, document, and track software bugs, logic errors, and user experience inconsistencies.
- Validate the accuracy of visa eligibility logic for pathways such as the UK Global Talent, US O-1, and others against current immigration guidelines.
- Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on new features and AI agent updates to ensure they meet the needs of prospective migrants.
- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to communicate findings and suggest improvements for platform usability.
- Ensure the platform is responsive and functional across different devices and browsers.
- Provide detailed reports on testing outcomes and contribute to the continuous improvement of our quality assurance processes.

Role Description We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst / Tester / Automation Engineer / Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who will ensure the quality, reliability, and accuracy of our talent mobility platforms. This role involves rigorous testing of our AI-driven assessment tools, user interfaces, and visa logic pathways to ensure a seamless experience for global talents. You will play a critical role in identifying bugs, validating visa eligibility logic, and providing feedback to the engineering team to maintain eMigr8's high standards. The role will start as a part-time unpaid volunteer role pending when the company meets fundraising or ARR metrics. This role is for a startup at a very early stage (pre-seed stage). You will need to commit volunteer unpaid time (about 6 hrs a week) to test new features, validate assessment logic, and ensure the platform operates effectively across various global visa pathways.
