Summary: The KYC Capability Design Lead is pivotal in delivering a large-scale transformation programme aimed at establishing a comprehensive Know Your Customer (KYC) solution. This role involves leading the design and implementation of KYC capabilities that meet regulatory standards and align with the organization's risk appetite. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective design and delivery. The role is remote and offers a competitive daily rate within the IR35 framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and prototyping of KYC capabilities in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Provide contextual guidance to requirements teams and support solution design activities.
- Engage stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and understanding of the capability design approach.
- Collaborate with the Design Function Lead and other capability designers to ensure cohesive and efficient solutions.
- Identify and propose pragmatic design options that balance compliance, business needs, and tight delivery timelines.
- Contribute to the development of design best practices and frameworks within the transformation programme.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the AML/KYC domain, with a strong focus on design and delivery.
- In-depth understanding of financial crime regulations, industry standards, and risk appetite frameworks.
- Proven track record in leading design teams or managing the design of KYC processes, controls, or platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging senior business and technology partners.
- Solid grasp of the solution development lifecycle, from concept through to implementation.
- Experience managing complex projects, including progress tracking, risk identification, and dependency management.
- Highly organised with a passion for delivering end-to-end product outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
- Familiarity with design thinking methodologies and the ability to innovate under constraints.
