GitLab DevOps Architect

Summary: The GitLab DevOps Architect role involves leading the migration of legacy CI/CD tools into the GitLab ecosystem while designing secure and scalable CI/CD pipelines. The position requires driving the adoption of GitOps and automation best practices, as well as collaborating with various teams to ensure efficient delivery and compliance. The architect will also provide strategic support throughout the DevOps lifecycle. This is a remote position based in the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead migrations from legacy CI/CD tools into GitLab ecosystem.
• Design and implement secure, scalable GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive adoption of GitOps, infrastructure-as-code, and automation best practices.
• Integrate and optimize GitLab for DORA metrics tracking and reporting.
• Guide DevSecOps implementation including SAST, DAST, and container security.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, and engineering teams for seamless delivery.
• Optimize GitLab Runners, Auto DevOps features, and overall pipeline efficiency.
• Ensure alignment with compliance, governance, and audit standards.
• Provide strategic and hands-on support across the DevOps lifecycle.

Key Skills:

• Experience with GitLab CI/CD tools and pipelines.
• Knowledge of GitOps and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices including SAST and DAST.
