Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide GIS and geospatial technology expertise to both internal and client teams.
  • Maintain alignment between solution delivery and architectural vision across multiple increments.
  • Act as a key voice in governance forums, such as Technical and Design Authorities.
  • Influence and drive the adoption of GIS and architecture best practices company-wide.
  • Mentor team members, promote knowledge sharing, and contribute to software engineering excellence.
  • Support recruitment efforts and contribute to internal training initiatives like InformedACADEMY.
  • Stay updated on geospatial innovations, participate in events, and integrate new advancements into projects.

Key Skills:

  • Experience integrating and modernising legacy GIS platforms and data stores.
  • Skilled in developing transitional roadmaps for geospatial solutions.
  • Expertise in designing architectures for geospatial data science, EO data, and Machine Learning.
  • Ability to assess and improve geospatial systems using structured frameworks (e.g., Well-Architected Frameworks).
  • Experience designing architectures for handling sensitive data, including PII.
  • Strong commercial awareness to optimize solution design and delivery.
  • Ability to manage multiple GIS projects, ensuring alignment and quality.
  • Relevant professional accreditations/certifications at an advanced level.
  • Understanding of Digital Service Standard and Technology Code of Practice in public sector geospatial projects.
