Summary: The GIS Solution Architect role at SoCalGas and SDG&E focuses on advancing geospatial technology through hands-on expertise in GIS architecture and Esri technologies. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and implement GIS solutions that are scalable, performant, and maintainable.
- Support field operations through mobile GIS and offline data workflows.
- Design and deploy GIS solutions in cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
- Integrate GIS with enterprise systems such as SAP.
- Create systems with high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Implement data governance, versioning, and lifecycle management for spatial data.
- Configure and manage IT infrastructure.
- Create and maintain architectural diagrams.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in GIS architecture and enterprise geospatial solutions.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, Field Maps, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online.
- Experience with geodatabase design and data modeling.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, web services, and automation tools.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Microsoft .Net Framework, C#, Python, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
