Summary: The Geospatial Data Engineer role is a contract position focused on addressing advanced data challenges within a leading environmental risk consultancy. The position involves developing ETL and CI/CD pipelines, managing data storage in AWS, and enhancing data automation and efficiency. The role requires expertise in both spatial and tabular datasets, particularly within a cloud computing environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Developing ETL pipelines for Raster, Vector, and Tabular data
- Configuring CI/CD pipelines
- Managing data storage within an AWS environment
- Improving data automation, workflow, and efficiency
- Developing Python-based ML pipelines
Key Skills:
- Good knowledge of Python programming
- Experience in cloud computing (ideally AWS)
- Strong experience across industries in both Geospatial and non-Geospatial domains
- Experience with Machine Learning (sci-kit learn, tensorflow, metaflow, MLOps)
- Preferred experience with frameworks like Metaflow, Prefect, etc.
- Experience with geospatial libraries (i.e., Raster, Geo-pandas, Vector databases)

You will be working in a team of software and data engineers supporting data workflow & orchestration, within an AWS environment and must have experience of both spatial and tabular data sets.
