Summary: The GE Proficy MES Applications Consultant role is focused on the design, development, and implementation of GE Proficy Manufacturing Suite products, primarily for remote candidates with extensive experience in GE Proficy. The position requires strong technical knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to resolve development-related issues. Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes and experience in MES deployment across the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and implement GE Proficy Manufacturing Suite products.
  • Resolve issues related to development, rollout, and enhancements.
  • Communicate effectively with teams, customers, and third-party vendors.
  • Participate in MES deployment across the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Support and configure GE Proficy MES applications and interfaces.
  • Work with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Lead technical initiatives and be hands-on approximately 50-60% of the time.

Job Title: GE Proficy MES
Location: Milwaukee, WI(Remote)
Duration: 6 months
This role is open to remote candidates with strong exp in GE Proficy.

Exhaustive technical knowledge and experience in design & development of GE Proficy MES applications OPC interfaces, SQL data bases and scripting Hands on experience with GE Proficy is a must!

Responsible for the day-to-day development, enhancement, and implementation of GE Proficy Manufacturing Suite products Should be able to help team in resolving issues related to development, rollout, enhancements Should be able to do effective communication with other teams, customers, and third-party vendors Should have been part of MES deployment (for entire SDLC) which includes experience in planning, designing, architecting, configuring, developing, testing, implementation, integration with other applications, deployment, multi-site roll out, Support, etc.

GE MES Suite

  • Proficy Plant Application, Historian, IGS, Kepware,SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), .NET scripting, Communication SkillFunctional Good understanding of Battery Manufacturing processes Good understanding of MESA, ISA95, etc.
  • Good understanding of the manufacturing processes used in discrete industry and relevant IT systems.
  • Exposure to functions such as Inventory, Quality, Order Management, Plant Performance, etc.
  • Experience in understanding Business and Automobile specific KPI s.Technical Experience in Supporting, configuring & deploying GE Proficy MES suite for Automobile Industries Experience on any of the historians & DB s like SQL, etc.General Experience in managing MES Implementations, Global Roll out.
  • Ability to work with cross functional and cross-cultural teams successfully.
  • Understanding of PLC, SCADA Systems, GE Cimplicity Tracker Experience in other MES system like Apriso.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Desire to work in an IT system environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Looking for a highly technical leader. Needs to be hands-on about 50-60% of the time.
