Key Responsibilities:

  • Rebuild and support a GCP-hosted application environment within the UK region.
  • Focus on the infrastructure layer of GCP, following an existing architectural design.
  • Collaborate with a global team, while owning the UK-specific build.
  • Engage in manual build phases, progressing through automation and data enablement/migration.
  • Design, build, and support cloud infrastructure components, including GCP services.
  • Produce high- and low-level documentation for a compliant and well-governed build.
  • Engage in DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code activities as the project evolves.

Key Skills:

  • Strong, hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
  • GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or GCP Professional Cloud Architect certifications.
  • Experience in building and supporting cloud infrastructure.
  • Ability to produce technical documentation and work with established architectural plans.
  • Familiarity with cloud security controls or compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, and multi-region deployments.
  • Background in government-aligned cloud work is beneficial but not required.

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud (GCP) Consultant to join a dynamic team on a fully remote, UK-based contract (inside IR35). This role is pivotal in rebuilding and supporting a GCP-hosted application environment within the UK region. The initial contract is for six months with a strong potential for extension. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be UK nationals and either hold active SC clearance or be eligible to gain it.
