Summary: The Functional Architect for Oracle Fusion Cloud Manufacturing will lead client engagements to gather and analyze business requirements, design solutions, and configure the Oracle Manufacturing Cloud application. This role involves providing strategic advisory services, guiding implementation efforts, and mentoring junior consultants. The position requires a strong background in manufacturing processes and Oracle applications, particularly in the context of cloud solutions. The role is remote and classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead client workshops and interviews to gather and analyze business requirements related to manufacturing processes, including discrete, process, and mixed-mode manufacturing, production scheduling, and shop floor control.
  • Translate business requirements into a functional design document. Architect and configure the Oracle Manufacturing Cloud application to meet client needs, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and a primary point of contact for clients, providing guidance on best-in-class manufacturing processes and how to optimize their use of the Oracle Cloud platform.
  • Guide the technical team in the development of customizations, integrations, and data migration strategies. Lead system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live activities.
  • Assist in presales activities, including the preparation of proposals, statements of work, and product demonstrations for prospective clients.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior functional consultants, helping them grow their expertise in Oracle Fusion Manufacturing.

Key Skills:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience with Oracle applications, with at least 3 years focused on implementing and configuring Oracle Fusion Cloud Manufacturing.
  • In-depth understanding of core manufacturing processes, including Work Execution and Production Management, Bill of Materials (BOM) and Routings, Work Definition and Production Scheduling, Costing and Work Order Processing.
