Summary: A leading Government Department is looking for a Full-Stack Python Developer to create an AI-powered PII redaction Minimum Viable Product. The role involves both Back End and Front End development, requiring expertise in Python and related technologies. This is a 6-month contract position, classified as Inside IR35, with a daily rate of £700. The position is primarily remote with occasional on-site meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build both the Back End and Front End of an AI-powered PII redaction MVP.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create and maintain software.
- Manage tasks and deliver core functionality in fortnightly sprints using Agile methodologies.
- Create documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Work on pre-existing codebases and improve software resilience and stability.
- Apply practices to enable continuous delivery.
- Desirable: Design software for user interaction with documents and images.
- Desirable: Work with cloud-based platforms such as AWS.
Key Skills:
- Expert knowledge of Python, CSS/HTML, and frameworks like React and Angular.
- Expert knowledge of relational models and database applications.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Experience in containerisation.
- Ability to create documentation throughout the SDLC.
- Experience with improving software resilience and stability.
- Desirable: Experience designing interactive software for documents and images.
- Desirable: Experience with AWS.

Experience Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of Python, including Front End technologies such as CSS/HTML and frameworks such as react and angular.
- Expert knowledge of the relational model and database applications.
- Collaboration with internal teams to design, create and maintain software.
- Experienced in working with Agile methodologies, managing tasks and delivering the core functionality of an MVP in fortnightly sprints to validate product concepts.
- Experience of containerisation.
- Creating documentation throughout the software. development life cycle (SDLC).
- Working on pre-existing codebases
- Improving the resilience and stability of software.
- Applying practices to enable continuous delivery.
- Desirable - experience of designing software that allows users to view and interact with documents (PDF, Word) or images.
- Desirable - experience of working with cloud-based platforms such as AWS
