Summary: A leading Government Department is seeking a Full-Stack Python Developer to design and build both the backend and frontend of an AI-powered Personally Identifiable Information (PII) redaction Minimum Viable Product (MVP). This role is a 6-month contract, classified as Inside IR35, with a daily rate of £700. The position is primarily remote, with occasional on-site meetings required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build backend and frontend components for an AI-powered PII redaction MVP.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create and maintain software.
- Manage tasks and deliver core functionality in fortnightly Agile sprints.
- Create documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Work on pre-existing codebases and improve software resilience and stability.
- Apply practices to enable continuous delivery.
- Implement containerization techniques.
- Design software for user interaction with documents and images (desirable).
- Work with cloud-based platforms such as AWS (desirable).
Key Skills:
- Expert knowledge of Python and front-end technologies (CSS/HTML, React, Angular).
- Expertise in relational models and database applications.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Experience in containerization.
- Ability to create documentation throughout the SDLC.
- Experience with pre-existing codebases.
- Desirable experience in designing user-interactive software.
- Desirable experience with cloud platforms like AWS.

Experience Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of Python, including front-end technologies such as CSS/HTML and frameworks such as react and angular.
- Expert knowledge of the relational model and database applications.
- Collaboration with internal teams to design, create and maintain software.
- Experienced in working with Agile methodologies, managing tasks and delivering the core functionality of an MVP in fortnightly sprints to validate product concepts.
- Experience of containerisation.
- Creating documentation throughout the software. development life cycle (SDLC).
- Working on pre-existing codebases
- Improving the resilience and stability of software.
- Applying practices to enable continuous delivery.
- Desirable - experience of designing software that allows users to view and interact with documents (PDF, Word) or images.
- Desirable - experience of working with cloud-based platforms such as AWS
