Summary: The role of Full Stack Developer involves designing and building scalable digital solutions for managing structured technical data, with a strong emphasis on Node.js and front-end development capabilities. The position is remote, requiring occasional travel to the Bristol region for meetings. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality applications within an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build a web-based solution for the digital storage, management, and retrieval of Route Position Lists (RPLs).
  • Collaborate with internal teams, business stakeholders, and customers to understand requirements, define problems, and propose effective technical solutions.
  • Participate fully in Agile delivery, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to solution and system architecture design, presenting technical approaches and designs for review and feedback.
  • Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable backend services using Node.js, alongside modern front-end user interfaces.
  • Build and maintain integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms, including Salesforce where required.
  • Support testing activities across the development lifecycle, including test planning, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Assist with release planning, deployment, and post-release support, contributing to DevOps and continuous improvement practices.
  • Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation, ensuring traceability through Jira and associated tooling.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices to continuously improve solution design and delivery.

Key Skills:

  • Strong commercial experience with Node.js for backend development.
  • Front-end development experience using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Vue, Angular).
  • Experience designing and building data-driven web applications and APIs.
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, security, and scalability.
  • Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments.
  • Experience integrating with Salesforce (APIs, data synchronisation, or custom integrations) is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of networking, telecoms, or infrastructure data, ideally within engineering or asset-management environments.

First Point Group is recruiting for a Full Stack Developer with strong Node.js experience on behalf of an international telecom solutions and service provider. The successful candidate must also have front-end development capability, and experience designing scalable digital solutions for managing structured technical data. The Opportunity: Our client’s Development & Integrations team designs, builds, and supports internal platforms and customer-facing solutions that underpin a global engineering services business. This includes bespoke applications, system integrations, and digital tools that enable the management of complex engineering and network data. As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and building a digital solution for the storage and management of Route Position Lists (RPLs) .
