Summary: The Full Stack Engineer at Thinkspan will be integral to the development of an innovative AI-powered canvas for idea organization and connection. This role involves both frontend and backend responsibilities, including creating user-friendly interfaces and enhancing backend systems. The engineer will collaborate closely with the founding team to shape the product and technical architecture. A strong emphasis is placed on technical excellence and user-centric design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build rich, interactive canvas experiences that make complex thinking workflows intuitive
- Implement responsive command handling and real-time event processing
- Create polished React components that serve both end users and developers
- Extend agent workflow systems, including generation, scheduling, and logging
- Design and implement webhook systems and API integrations
- Build robust data pipelines for structured JSON events and logs
- Handle database migrations and optimise PostgreSQL performance (Supabase)
- Own features end-to-end, from database design to user interface
- Collaborate directly with founders on technical architecture decisions
- Contribute to product strategy and user experience design
Key Skills:
- 3+ years of full-stack development experience (or exceptional skills with less experience)
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript
- Database expertise with PostgreSQL, including understanding of Row Level Security (RLS), triggers, and optimisation
- System design experience with CRON jobs, event-driven architectures, and async processing
- Passion for developer tools and creating clean, intuitive abstractions
- Small team experience - thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments
