Summary: CarbonTrac is seeking a Full-Stack Developer to contribute to their climate tech platform aimed at reducing UK emissions. The role involves building both front-end and back-end components, collaborating with designers and the CTO, and developing features that enhance user engagement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Build responsive web components (dashboards, reporting tools, product comparison views)
  • Implement backend logic for emissions/nutrition scoring, swap triggers, and user journeys
  • Collaborate with our UX/UI designer and CTO to translate designs and models into working features
  • Develop loyalty-style app flows (swaps, goals, reward tracking)
  • Contribute clean, documented code to a shared GitHub repo

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Comfortable with both frontend (HTML, CSS, JS/React/Vue) and backend (Python/FastAPI/Node.js)
  • Familiar with REST APIs, Git/GitHub workflows
  • Experience with Next.js, Flask, or Django is a bonus
  • Can follow Figma designs and implement mobile-first, responsive layouts
  • Strong problem-solving mindset - we don’t expect experts, just initiative and curiosity
  • Experience with AI/ML/CV models is a plus

Role Description We’re hiring a Full-Stack Developer to help build the front and back end of our platform - from supplier LCA reports to gamified customer dashboards and backend logic for product swaps. You'll work across the stack, bringing UX designs and carbon models to life. This is a remote, paid contract (competitive compensation) running from July 15 to September 15, 2025 - ideal for seasoned professionals who want to work on high-impact tech with global partners.
