Full Stack Developer (React.js & Spring Boot)

Core Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Cloud Architecture: Architect, build, and deploy secure, high-performance web applications leveraging React.js for responsive frontends and Java/Spring Boot microservices hosted on AWS.
• Insurance Platform Engineering: Design and scale robust backend systems that process complex insurance logic, including rating engines, policy administration, claims routing, and automated underwriting rules.
• Modern Frontend Engineering: Construct modular, reusable UI components in React.js, implementing clean state management patterns to simplify complex, multi-step insurance quote-and-bind workflows.
• Data & Integration Engineering: Design secure database models (SQL/NoSQL) optimized for policyholder and claims data. Integrate third-party insurance APIs, data providers, and legacy core systems.
• Cloud Infrastructure & CI/CD Mastery: Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines (CI/CD) targeting AWS infrastructure utilizing containerized ecosystems (Docker, Amazon ECS/EKS) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Enterprise Security & Compliance: Configure robust authentication and authorization layers leveraging Spring Security alongside modern protocols (OAuth2, OIDC) to ensure strict compliance with insurance data regulations (HIPAA, SOC 2, or PCI-DSS).
• Performance Tuning & Monitoring: Proactively profile application components to eliminate frontend bottlenecks, optimize backend execution paths, and tune slow database queries using AWS CloudWatch or APM tools.
• Distributed Team Leadership: Drive technical alignment across a 100% remote engineering team, mentor mid-level developers, and partner closely with Insurance Product Owners to turn business logic into scalable code.
