Summary: This role is for an experienced Software Engineer to contribute to the development of a new quoting application tool for a leading environmental services provider. The position requires both frontend and backend development skills and involves working within an agile team to deliver high-quality code and engage with business stakeholders. The successful candidate will also participate in requirement gathering and documentation processes. The role offers a significant opportunity for extension beyond the initial six-month duration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on development of front-end user interfaces and back-end systems.
• Working as a key member of an agile delivery team, contributing high quality code in a timely and collaborative way.
• Partaking in requirement gathering & definition aspect of the engagement.
• Working with the wider client and engineering community to share knowledge and contribute to a team delivery effort.
• Documentation and explanation of processes and design decisions to wider team.
• Engaging directly with business stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to software engineering standards and maintaining best practice.

Key Skills:

• Python development using Web Frameworks (FastAPI preferred, Django or alternative frameworks acceptable).
• Experience in React development and Single Page Application architecture.
• Experience implementing OAuth2 using Azure AD/Entra ID.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and Pub/Sub messaging patterns.
• Full stack capability with cloud platform experience (Azure preferred).
• Experience working in an agile environment.
