Montash is supporting a leading IT consultancy in delivering a public sector project. We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with substantial experience in Java (Spring Boot) for a large-scale microservices architecture. The ideal candidate should be proficient in test-driven development and containerisation (Docker), have experience with relational databases like Postgres (ideally using migration tools such as Liquibase), and be well-versed in modern DevOps practices including continuous integration and deployment.
Experience with Kafka is highly desirable, along with some Front End development skills in React/Typescript.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Java (Spring Boot)
- Relational SQL Databases (Postgres preferred)
- Docker
- Test-Driven Development (using JUnit, Mockito, or similar libraries)
- CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins or equivalent)
- Agile team experience and cross-discipline collaboration
Desirable Skills:
- API Specification (Swagger OpenAPI)
- Gradle
- Liquibase
- Kafka
- React
- TypeScript
