Summary: The role of Full Stack Developer is a 6-month contract position focused on greenfield product development in the digital media and publishing sector. The successful candidate will work remotely, ideally near London for occasional meet-ups, and will be responsible for designing and building scalable applications using modern technologies. This position requires collaboration with various teams to deliver high-performance solutions and improve operational efficiency. The role is classified as outside IR35, offering a competitive day rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable full-stack applications using AWS, Python/Django, GoLang, React, and other modern frameworks.
- Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to define requirements and deliver new features.
- Drive performance optimization and ensure systems are reliable and secure.
- Debug complex issues across systems and write maintainable, testable code.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical planning.
- Help uplift engineering standards through mentorship and code reviews.
Key Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in full-stack development.
- Strong background with AWS serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Proficiency in Python/Django, GoLang, JavaScript, and React.
- Experience building scalable applications and distributed systems.
- Ideally, exposure to ad-tech or digital publishing technologies (not essential).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote-first setup.
