Summary: The role of Full Stack Developer is a 6-month contract position focused on greenfield product development in the digital media and publishing sector. The candidate will work remotely, ideally near London for occasional meet-ups, and will be responsible for designing and building scalable applications using modern frameworks and AWS technologies. This position requires collaboration with various teams to deliver impactful solutions while maintaining high engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable full-stack applications using AWS (Lambdas, S3, EventBridge, etc.), Python/Django, GoLang, React, and other modern frameworks.
- Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to define requirements and deliver new features.
- Drive performance optimization and ensure systems are reliable and secure.
- Debug complex issues across systems and write maintainable, testable code.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical planning.
- Help uplift engineering standards through mentorship and code reviews.
Key Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in full-stack development.
- Strong background with AWS serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Proficiency in Python/Django, GoLang, JavaScript, and React.
- Experience building scalable applications and distributed systems.
- Ideally, exposure to ad-tech or digital publishing technologies (not essential).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote-first setup.
