Summary: The Frontend Developer role focuses on building user-facing web applications for a government department, utilizing Node.js, Fastify, and TypeScript. Key Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining web applications using Node.js, Fastify, and TypeScript.
- Delivering frontend functionality with templating (e.g. Nunjucks) and integration into backend services.
- Writing robust end-to-end tests with Playwright to ensure a smooth user experience.
- Working in containerised environments (Docker) to develop, test, and deploy services.
- Collaborating with designers, architects, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with Node.js, Fastify, and TypeScript.
- Proficiency in frontend templating (e.g. Nunjucks).
- Experience with end-to-end testing using Playwright.
- Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker).
- Knowledge of GDS principles and experience in government projects.
Salary (Rate): £400 daily
