General Purpose
The Front-End Marketing Developer supports our client's Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and personalization programs through front-end development, implementation, and quality assurance of website experiments and digital experiences.
This role partners closely with CRO strategists, UX designers, UX researchers, analytics teams, and web development teams to develop, test, and optimize experiences that improve conversion rates, customer engagement, and lead generation.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, and passionate about delivering high-quality user experiences.
This individual should have experience with front-end web technologies and content management systems. They currently utilize Drupal as their primary CMS.
Specific Responsibilities
A/B Test Development and Implementation (40%)
Build, implement, and maintain A/B tests, multivariate tests, and personalization experiences using Optimizely or similar experimentation platforms.
Develop front-end code changes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support CRO and optimization initiatives.
Collaborate with CRO, UX, analytics, and design teams to translate test concepts into functioning digital experiences.
Ensure experiments are implemented accurately and consistently across browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
Support experiment launches and monitor performance following deployment.
Quality Assurance and Testing (20%)
Conduct thorough QA testing of experiments prior to launch.
Validate experiment functionality, tracking, and user experience across desktop and mobile devices.
Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues identified during testing and deployment.
Assist with monitoring live tests to ensure ongoing performance and stability.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate implementation of designs and test requirements.
Website and CMS Support (20%)
Support website development activities within Drupal CMS.
Assist with content updates, landing pages, and front-end enhancements.
Maintain reusable front-end components used across optimization initiatives.
Follow established coding standards and development best practices.
Collaboration and Optimization (10%)
Partner with CRO strategists, designers, researchers, analysts, and developers to support the experimentation roadmap.
Participate in planning sessions and provide technical input on experiment feasibility and implementation approaches.
Contribute ideas that improve website performance, user experience, and conversion rates.
Documentation and Process Improvement (10%)
Document experiment implementations, QA findings, and technical requirements.
Support the development of testing standards, coding best practices, and optimization processes.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability of experiment development and deployment.

Top Skills Details
Required
Minimum 3+ years of experience in front-end web development in a corporate enterprise organization.
Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
Experience working in a content management system environment - specifically Drupal.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Rochester, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
