Summary: The Front end Angular Developer role is a remote position focused on supporting federal health enterprise systems through the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise applications. The candidate will work primarily with Angular for UI development while also engaging in backend tasks, requiring a blend of technical skills and collaboration within an Agile team. A proactive approach to quality assurance and effective communication with various stakeholders is essential. The role demands a strong foundation in software development best practices and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support federal health enterprise systems by researching, designing, developing, and maintaining applications for Leidos clients using various technologies in an Agile environment.
- Create and update documentation and specifications for design, development, and testing.
- Present concepts using UML and engage in design discussions with team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the production environment.
- Collaborate with customers, analysts, architects, DBAs, operations, and testers using Agile Scrum.
- Write maintainable, adaptable, scalable, and defect-free code following software development best practices.
- Support the software configuration management process and understand software components and their interfaces.
- Ensure quality of software deliverables and communicate effectively with development teams.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT-related discipline and at least 10 years of related experience.
- Experience with object-oriented design and development, data structures, and design patterns.
- Proficient in Agile framework and applying best practices in software development.
- Experienced with Java 8+, Spring, Spring MVC, Spring JDBC, Hibernate, JPA, Eclipse, and Web Services (XML, SOAP/RESTful).
- Proficient in JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, Angular 2+, and other JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as Bootstrap, jQuery, Ajax, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with RDMS, SQL, and database design/troubleshooting (Oracle, PL/SQL).
- Experience with automated unit testing (Junit, Mockito, MockMVC) and test-driven development.
- Knowledge of web application security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
- Working knowledge of Gradle and familiarity with continuous integration principles.
- Able to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to independently design, implement, and unit test complex user stories.
- Ability to mentor junior developers.

- This opening will support federal health enterprise systems. Research, design, develop and maintain enterprise system for our Leidos clients using the JEE, Spring MVC, Spring JDBC, Hibernate, Bootstrap, SOAP/RESTful, XML, PL/SQL, SonarQube, Git (Stash) and JIRA in an Agile software development environment.
- This involves the use of user stories, acceptance criteria and other software engineering artifacts as part of an Agile team.
- He/she will create and update all relevant documentation and specifications for design, development, and testing.
- He/she will present concepts using UML and be willing to challenge other team members designs as well as receive and incorporate feedback.
- The candidate will also assist in troubleshooting and fixing issues from the production environment.
- The candidate will collaborate with customers, analysts, architects, DBAs, operations, and testers using Agile Scrum.
- The candidate will be responsible for creating maintainable, adaptable, scalable, defect free code using software development best practices and coding standards (i.e. software reuse, refactoring, continuous integration, test automation, secure development, TDD, static code analysis, peer/code review).
- He/she will support the software configuration management process and understand software components and their interface requirements.
- This position requires someone who is proactive and passionate about ensuring the quality of
software deliverables and continuous improvement, as well as, and can communicate with the development teams what is required to achieve this effectively on tasks.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
