Freelance Senior Designer – Luxury Women’s Ready to wear brand

Mode Search are proud to be partnering with a high-growth luxury womenswear brand in their search for a Senior Designer to support the development of upcoming collections on a freelance basis. Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO – a celebrated creative leader with a track record of building globally recognised fashion businesses – this role offers the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, creatively driven environment. The Senior Designer will play a key role in shaping the brand’s collections, contributing fresh ideas while staying true to the brand’s refined and sophisticated aesthetic. The role can be based remotely within the UK or Europe.

The Role:

• Develop seasonal concepts and design collections across ready-to-wear and denim
• Create elegant, minimal, and modern silhouettes that reflect the brand’s luxury identity
• Conduct research across vintage references, runway archives, art, and cultural movements to inspire new design direction
• Collaborate closely with product development and technical design teams to translate concepts into high-quality garments with exceptional fit and finish
• Contribute to the brand’s broader creative vision, including styling and direction for look books and campaign shoots
• Partner directly with the Founder to ensure design concepts align with the overall brand DNA and business objectives

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in luxury or elevated contemporary fashion design
• Strong design portfolio showcasing a refined aesthetic, attention to silhouette, and expert draping
• Proven ability to design across multiple women's RTW categories
• Deep technical understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and premium finishing techniques
• Highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment
• Passionate about building a culturally relevant brand with long-term creative integrity
