Summary: The role of Freelance Senior Copywriter focuses on supporting B2B marketing and content creation for a recruitment partner in the FMCG and consumer products sector. The contractor will engage in producing high-quality content, including blogs, articles, and marketing materials, while collaborating with senior leaders and an in-house marketing team. This position offers flexible working arrangements, requiring approximately 3 to 5 days of work per month, and is primarily remote with optional office access. Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to B2B blogs, articles, and thought leadership content linked to the consumer product and FMCG landscape
  • Supporting the development of email marketing campaigns and newsletters aimed at senior commercial, HR, and functional leaders
  • Assisting with the creation of social media content aligned to Advocate tone of voice, positioning, and messaging
  • Being involved with the production and refinement of marketing documents, case studies, sales collateral, and internal communications
  • Helping ensure content speaks clearly to senior decision-makers and high-calibre talent audiences
  • Supporting the ongoing evolution of the Advocate brand voice as market dynamics shift
  • Providing input into brand storytelling, content direction, and relevant industry trends

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in B2B copywriting and content creation, ideally within professional services, recruitment, or advisory environments
  • Experience writing for, or closely aligned to, FMCG or consumer product businesses
  • A strong understanding of senior stakeholder audiences and commercial decision-making
  • The ability to write in a premium, insight-driven tone of voice

B2B Marketing & Content Contractor Consumer Products and FMCG Focus 3–5 Days per Month | Long-Term Engagement Remote UK | Flexible | Optional Liverpool or Manchester office access

The Advocate Group is a specialist recruitment partner operating across FMCG and the wider consumer product landscape. We work with some of the most recognisable and ambitious brands in the UK and globally, supporting them with high-impact talent solutions across multiple functions. As our brand and market presence continue to evolve, we are looking to engage an experienced self-employed Marketing and Content Contractor to support and strengthen our B2B content output

This is a flexible, long-term engagement of approximately 3 to 5 days per month. It is ideally suited to a commercially minded B2B copywriter and content creator who understands professional services and has experience writing for, or closely around, the consumer product sector. You will work closely with our Managing Director, Marketing Director, and an established in-house marketing team of five.

The Role

You will be involved with shaping and delivering high-quality, insight-led B2B content that supports our positioning as a trusted partner to senior leaders within FMCG and consumer product businesses. Your involvement will include:

  • Contributing to B2B blogs, articles, and thought leadership content linked to the consumer product and FMCG landscape
  • Supporting the development of email marketing campaigns and newsletters aimed at senior commercial, HR, and functional leaders
  • Assisting with the creation of social media content aligned to Advocate tone of voice, positioning, and messaging

About You

You will be a confident B2B copywriter with a strong understanding of professional services marketing and a genuine interest in the consumer product sector. You are likely to be well suited to this role if you bring:

  • Proven experience in B2B copywriting and content creation, ideally within professional services, recruitment, or advisory environments
  • Experience writing for, or closely aligned to, FMCG or consumer product businesses
  • A strong understanding of senior stakeholder audiences and commercial decision-making
