About the role:
You'll own the configuration and delivery of UK payroll within Dayforce - ensuring pay calculations, statutory deductions, and compliance requirements are correctly built, tested, and ready for go-live.
What you'll be doing:
- Configuring gross-to-net payroll calculation logic specific to UK requirements
- Setting up UK tax rules, National Insurance, pension auto-enrolment, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, etc.)
- Building and maintaining pay elements/earning codes across different pay types (regular hours, overtime, bonuses, benefits-in-kind)
- Running parallel testing and UAT to validate payroll accuracy before go-live
- Supporting statutory reporting (RTI, P60s, P11Ds) and year-end processing
- Troubleshooting payroll discrepancies and resolving configuration issues
- Collaborating with HR, Finance, and Dayforce technical teams throughout implementation
What we're looking for:
- Proven hands-on experience configuring UK payroll within Dayforce, ideally across at least one full-cycle implementation
- Strong understanding of UK statutory payroll requirements and HMRC compliance
- Experience with parallel run/UAT testing on payroll system implementations
- CIPP qualification desirable, not essential
- Comfortable working independently on a freelance basis, managing your own workload against project milestones
- Strong attention to detail - payroll errors have direct, immediate impact on employees
