Tangent 1 Training Centre, operated by Tangent 1 Civil Engineering Ltd, is a small independent vocational training centre preparing to deliver the ProQual Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Surveying.
Role Description
We are looking for an experienced freelance Construction IQA / Internal Quality Assurer to provide independent internal quality assurance for assessment activity within the Centre.
- sampling assessment decisions and learner portfolios
- reviewing assessment practice, evidence and documentation
- providing feedback to the Assessor
- supporting standardisation activities
- maintaining appropriate IQA records
- supporting Centre quality assurance arrangements and readiness for External Quality Assurance
This is a flexible freelance role with initially low learner volumes.: Most IQA activity can be carried out remotely.
Requirements
- Level 4 IQA qualification, V1, D34 or equivalent
- recognised assessor qualification
- current or recent experience of IQA within vocational qualifications
- strong construction or civil engineering occupational background
- experience of portfolio sampling and assessment quality assurance
- ability to work independently and provide clear, constructive feedback
Experience in engineering surveying, site engineering or setting out would be advantageous but is not essential.
Experience working with ProQual or other regulated awarding organisations would also be advantageous.
