Summary: The Freelance Community Manager for a comedy podcast will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies to grow and engage audiences across various platforms. This role requires a creative individual with a strong background in managing social channels and a passion for British comedy. The position is remote and involves project management, content creation, and collaboration with producers and designers. The assignment runs for approximately 40 weeks, starting from February 4, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project managing and delivering the social schedule for social channels (IG, TT, FB, YT).
  • Posting content with engaging, well-written copy (approximately 5 posts per channel per week).
  • Creating a community of followers and engaging with fans to ensure channel growth.
  • Collaborating with producers and social editors to request weekly content, thumbnails, and graphics.
  • Liaising with design, production, and campaign management teams for smooth content delivery.
  • Identifying key moments from podcast recordings for social media use.
  • Liaising with talent to share content across multiple channels.
  • Monitoring trends and new features on major platforms to incorporate into strategy.
  • Ensuring quality control standards across social output.
  • Developing and managing the content archive.
  • Supporting the team on monthly and quarterly reports to clients on strategy and performance.
  • Working closely with account managers to track branded campaigns and maintain a social media tracker.
