First Aid & Mandatory Training Business Development Lead

Posted 6 days ago by London School of Childcare Studies

First Aid & Mandatory Training Business Development Lead Part-time | Remote | Approximately 15 hours per week | Scope to grow

We are looking for an energetic and organised person to take ownership of our growing First Aid training desk and help us develop this area of the business further.

At present, we run weekly Paediatric First Aid courses alongside courses for nurseries, schools and other organisations.

We now want to take the next step: expanding into new locations, building stronger relationships with schools and organisations, recruiting and supporting additional trainers, and developing our wider mandatory training offer.

This is therefore much more than an administrative role.

We are looking for someone who can initially take responsibility for the smooth running of the First Aid desk, while gradually helping us build it into a larger and more commercially successful part of the business.

The role could include: Coordinating our weekly First Aid courses Communicating with trainers and ensuring courses are appropriately staffed Recruiting and onboarding new First Aid trainers Developing a strong and engaged trainer network Communicating with schools, nurseries and organisations about private and group training Following up enquiries and developing new business relationships Identifying opportunities to run courses in new locations Helping us increase the number of organisational and in-house courses we deliver Supporting course scheduling, bookings and administration Working with our marketing and wider team to promote the First Aid offer Helping us develop additional mandatory training courses for schools, nurseries and childcare professionals Looking for opportunities to grow this area into a substantial training division within the organisation

You would not necessarily need to do everything yourself.

We already have a wider team who can support areas such as marketing, administration and course development.

A key part of the role will be coordinating people, identifying what needs to happen and making sure things move forward.

Who we are looking for

We are open-minded about your background.

You may already have experience in business development, training coordination, operations, administration or growing a small business area.

Alternatively, you may be someone earlier in your career who is highly organised, commercially minded and excited by the opportunity to take ownership of something and build a team around it.

We are particularly interested in someone who: Is proactive rather than waiting to be told what to do Enjoys communicating and building relationships Is confident speaking with trainers, schools and organisations Is highly organised and comfortable coordinating multiple courses and people Can spot opportunities and follow them through Enjoys developing systems and improving how things work Would like to grow with the role and take increasing responsibility A First Aid Trainer qualification or experience within First Aid training would be an advantage , but it is not essential.

Working arrangements

The role will initially be approximately 15 hours per week , with flexibility around how those hours are organised.

The majority of the role can be carried out remotely.

However, we would occasionally like you to attend training days or meetings in person so that you can meet our trainers, understand how our courses operate and build relationships with the people delivering them.

There is significant potential for the role to expand as the First Aid and Mandatory Training division grows.
