Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice to caseworkers and multi-disciplinary teams on Gateway 2 applications.
- Write reports, assess designs, and contribute to enforcement when needed.
- Develop internal standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Influence cultural change within the organization.
- Support high-risk and complex building cases.
Key Skills:
- Strong fire engineering background with experience in complex and high-risk buildings.
- Deep knowledge of Approved Document B, BS 9999, BS 7974, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Building Regulations 2010 and Building Act 1984.
- Understanding of fire, structural, and construction safety systems.
- Skilled in site inspections, safety assessments, and compliance checks.
- Ability to support colleagues with specialist knowledge.
- Degree in a relevant subject (e.g., construction, civil engineering).
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) with IFE or equivalent fire safety qualification.
