Summary: The Project Finance Support Analyst (SAP) role is focused on providing financial operations and reporting support for a portfolio of projects, requiring strong SAP expertise. The position involves transaction processing, reporting, forecasting, project accounting, and business partnering, while ensuring compliance with corporate governance frameworks. This is a temporary contract role based remotely in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in project finance and accounting support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly transaction processing, journals, and period/month-end close.
  • Oversee customer sales invoicing, AR/credit control, and query resolution.
  • Support purchase ledger (AP) activities including payment runs and employee expenses.
  • Conduct cash management including weekly/monthly cashflow reporting and forecasting.
  • Perform cashbook posting and bank reconciliations (UK & FX currencies).
  • Act as a Finance Business Partner to operational and project teams, providing financial insights and support.
  • Lead or support the preparation of budgets, phased forecasts, and IBP submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance processes and internal financial control frameworks.
  • Support SAP project accounting, particularly around system transitions and post-implementation processes.
  • Manage and review project accounting across multiple live projects, including preparation of formal project status reports.

Key Skills:

  • Strong proficiency with SAP (Ariba, Fiori, CERPS transaction reporting).
  • Experience with international currencies and multi-currency reconciliations.
  • Advanced Excel skills for reporting, analysis, and modelling.
  • Prior experience in project finance/accounting support.
  • Knowledge of transaction processing, month-end close, and forecasting cycles.
  • Proven ability to act as a Finance Business Partner to project or operational teams.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance and internal financial controls.
