Core Responsibilities
- Analyze monthly hospital financial submissions (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Support maintenance and refinement of financial reporting templates and models
- Build and maintain financial models in Excel (cash flow, scenario, and variance analysis)
- Identify financial trends, risks, and performance drivers across hospital portfolios
- Develop executive-ready presentations and summaries in PowerPoint
- Assist in development of dashboards and data visualizations (Tableau experience a plus)
- Conduct research related to Medicaid, Medicare, and state funding programs
- Support broader healthcare finance and policy-related analysis as needed
- Support analyst enablement activities for client staff, including participating in group office hours, 1:1 training sessions, and re trainings on financial reporting tools and processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 2–5 years of relevant financial analysis experience
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting fundamentals
- Advanced Excel skills (modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas, data manipulation)
- Proficiency in PowerPoint with ability to produce client-ready materials
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfort presenting to, training, and fielding live questions from non-technical stakeholders in a client-facing setting
- Experience in hospital or healthcare finance
- Familiarity with state or federal healthcare programs (Medicaid/Medicare)
- Experience working with government or public-sector clients
- Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
