Summary: The role of Finance Systems Specialist involves providing interim support for a local government client during a critical cutover phase of their finance systems, specifically focusing on Unit4/ERP. The specialist will advise on various aspects of the cutover process, including handling open purchase orders, invoices, and year-end reporting. The position is fully remote and can accommodate part-time or full-time work for a duration of 1-2 months. Candidates with specific cutover experience and familiarity with Unit4/Agresso are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on mid-year cutover processes.
  • Provide guidance on closing down open purchase orders and invoices.
  • Assist with year-end reporting using different charts of accounts.
  • Evaluate the impact of changes on the new Tran Plan (Cat1-Cat7).
  • Clarify differences between old and new systems affecting statutory returns, RO's & RA's, and NFI.

Key Skills:

  • Specific cutover experience.

Project Work Opportunity (Outside IR35)! - Interim Finance Systems Specialist (Unit4/ERP cutover)

Contract Duration: One off piece of work (likely 1-2 months)

Rate: DOE

IR35: Outside

Days: can consider part time or full time.

Fully Remote: 100% wfh

Start Date: ASAP

A local government client of mine are on the lookout for a Finance Systems Specialist to join their team on an interim basis to deliver a one off piece of work.

The client is looking for someone who:

  • Can advise on mid-year cutover.
  • Can advise on how to closedown, what to do with all open PO's, invoices, how to handle year end reporting with different chart of accounts, HY1 on the old and HY2 on the new etc.
  • Can advise how this all impacts the new Tran Plan (Cat1-Cat7) and the differences between old and new complicate the statutory returns, RO's & RA's, NFI.

Successful candidates:

  • Must have specific cutover experience doing the above.
  • Must have experience using Unit4/Agresso.
  • It is desirable that you have local government experience but could also be open to private sector experience.
