Summary: The Finance Project Manager will be responsible for managing the data purchasing budget and liaising with accounting and finance teams. This role involves overseeing data contract renewals and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective project management. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in accounting or finance, along with project management skills and contracting expertise. Agile methodologies will be utilized to lead stakeholders through the new operating model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support management of data purchasing budget by liaising with accounting and finance teams.
  • Track budget activities in detail.
  • Manage data contract renewals and strategic collaborations with stakeholders.
  • Assist the Budget Manager with ongoing accounting activities.
  • Engage with internal business stakeholders, external data vendors, procurement, and legal teams for contract renewal activities.
  • Provide general project management support to the data sourcing team as needed.

description: Finance Project Manager Location: Remote Duration: Till the 31st of March 2026 Pay rate: £415 per day PAYE The successful candidate will play a key role within the Data Strategy Data Sourcing pillar, to support management of data purchasing budget liaising with accounting and finance teams within the company tracking budget activities in detail. In addition they will support the management of data contract renewals, strategic collaborations and projects with broad stakeholders. The successful candidate is expected to have accounting/finance background, deep project management skills and ideally contracting expertise. In addition, they are also expected to demonstrate agile ways of working, leading the stakeholders through the new agile operating model as necessary Support our team’s Budget Manager with ongoing accounting activities for the data purchasing budget Support data contract management activities (i.e. engage with internal business stakeholders, external data vendors, procurement and legal teams to enable contract renewal activities) Support data sourcing team with general project management or adhoc project support when needed Experience: Advanced degree in a relevant field At least 4 years of work experience in relevant field ideally Pharma experience Skills: Accounting/Finance background essential Strong project management experience Strong communication skills to manage a variety of stakeholder groups required Contract management expertise Effective communication and ability to build relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, support negotiations to achieve the best outcomes for for service or data delivery support and issue resolution Knowledge and experience of procurement methodologies and ability to partner with them in contract negotiations Experience working in cross-functional teams to manage complex projects
