Summary: The Finance Manager role is a key position within a regional finance team, responsible for partnering with operational sites and senior leaders to ensure effective financial management. This position involves delivering financial accounting deadlines, managing P&Ls, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment. The position is remote with occasional travel and is a fixed-term contract for three months starting in January.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver all core financial accounting deadlines to a high standard, including month-end close and payroll
- Support site-based finance administrators with billing, invoicing and process queries
- Own and manage multiple P&Ls, identifying risks and opportunities as they arise
- Lead budgeting and forecasting activities across assigned areas
- Produce timely management accounts with clear and insightful analysis
- Partner with budget holders to ensure cost control and adherence to budgets
- Build strong relationships across finance to improve controls, efficiency and performance
- Contribute to wider financial reporting and governance requirements
- Collaborate with commercial, marketing and operational teams on key planning assumptions
- Maintain a high standard of customer service, responding appropriately to stakeholder queries and feedback
- Support the wider finance team in delivering a high-quality service to operational and central teams
- Maintain effective working relationships with operational managers and senior leadership
- Work collaboratively within a shared services or centralised finance structure
- Support appropriate resourcing and prioritisation within the finance team
