Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and monthly management accounts
- Monitor and report on income and expenditure, ensuring accuracy and accountability
- Manage restricted and unrestricted funds in line with funder requirements
- Maintain accurate records using Sage accounting software (essential)
- Oversee and liaise with outsourced bookkeeping and payroll providers
- Prepare clear and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Support funding applications with accurate financial data and analysis
- Ensure full compliance with charity finance regulations, including Gift Aid
- Manage year-end accounts and assist with audit preparation
Key Skills:
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in charity finance, including restricted funds
- Confident managing income and expenditure reporting
- Proficient in Sage - this is a must
- Detail-oriented, with strong reporting and analytical skills
- Able to work independently and manage external financial providers
