Summary: The Finance Business Partner role focuses on overseeing financial aspects of a significant technology transformation programme within a leading financial institution. The position requires strategic reporting and financial governance for an Infrastructure & Cloud Technology initiative. The candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure accurate financial tracking and compliance. This is a contract position with an initial duration of six months, primarily remote based in London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end financial ownership of a significant tech transformation programme
  • Build and maintain complex business case models and financial analysis for executive updates
  • Present programme financials to senior stakeholders, steering committees, and governance forums
  • Ensure robust financial governance, accurate tracking of spend, benefits, risks, and metrics
  • Develop board-ready financial packs and support strategic programme decisions
  • Partner closely with product owners and app teams to validate spend and assumptions
  • Analyse and challenge cloud growth and optimisation opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies relevant to IT and cloud spend
  • Deliver ad hoc financial modelling for commercial decision-making

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner in complex IT/Tech environments
  • Deep understanding of Infrastructure & Cloud cost drivers
  • Excellent financial modelling and data analysis capabilities
  • Strong communication skills - able to present complex financials to non-finance stakeholders
  • Confident managing large datasets and linking data to financial outcomes
  • Knowledge of IT accounting principles (CapEx vs OpEx, cloud contracts, etc.)
  • Self-starter with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Skilled at stakeholder engagement across global teams and tech/finance interfaces
