Role Description
The Film Producer will manage projects from early concept through final delivery, coordinating creative and logistical elements to ensure successful productions.
Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing pre-production planning, budgeting, scheduling, and assembling production teams, while maintaining clear communication with writers, directors, and other stakeholders.
The Producer will supervise video and film production activities, monitor workflow, and guide video post-production, including editing, sound, and finishing, to meet quality and deadline requirements.
The role involves reviewing pitches and scripts from underrepresented creators, providing feedback, and helping shape projects aligned with the company’s mission.
This is a contract, remote role, requiring regular virtual meetings, effective online collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple projects across different time zones.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Film Production and Video Production, with experience overseeing projects from development through delivery.
- Proficiency in Pre-production activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.
- Experience with Video Post-Production processes such as editing, sound, and finishing.
- Background in producing Documentaries or similar non-fiction formats is highly beneficial.
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse creative teams and support underrepresented artists.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Comfort with digital collaboration tools and remote production workflows.
- Relevant experience as a Film Producer or in a comparable production role; formal education in Film, Media, or a related field is a plus but not required.
