Summary: The role of Contract Fabric Data Engineer involves leading a pilot project to design and build a new data platform using Microsoft Fabric. The position requires strong SQL skills and the ability to create data solutions from scratch in a greenfield environment. The engineer will own the end-to-end data model and architecture while communicating progress and insights effectively. This is a contract position for an initial three months with the possibility of extension.

Key Skills:
- Strong experience with SQL
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (essential)
- Proven ability to build data solutions from scratch
- Comfortable working autonomously and owning delivery
- Clear communicator—able to articulate technical progress simply
- Bonus: Experience in pensions or financial services
- Exposure to regulatory or compliance-driven projects

WRK digital are proud to be partnering with a Leeds/London based company who are looking for a Contract Fabric Data Engineer for an initial 3 month period.
This is a rare chance to own and shape a brand-new data solution from the ground up.
We’re looking for a Data Engineer with strong SQL and Microsoft Fabric expertise to lead a pilot project. You’ll be stepping into a greenfield space, designing, building, and defining a data capability that doesn’t exist yet.
What You’ll Be Doing
Designing and building a new data platform in Microsoft Fabric
Owning the end-to-end data model and architecture
