Summary: The Extreme Networks Wireless Consultant role involves providing technical expertise to design, configure, and implement a wireless solution for a multi-site healthcare customer. The consultant will focus on aligning wireless SSIDs across two Cisco networks and one Extreme Networks environment over a short-term engagement of approximately seven days. The position requires collaboration with internal teams and delivering comprehensive documentation and support. The consultant is expected to start as soon as possible and work remotely with occasional customer meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review existing requirements and outputs from the customer scoping workshop.
  • Validate the current Extreme Networks wireless environment.
  • Produce high-level design inputs for inclusion within the project Statement of Work.
  • Define the required configuration and implementation approach for the Extreme wireless infrastructure.
  • Configure and implement the common SSID solution on the Extreme environment.
  • Ensure alignment with the Cisco wireless environments managed by the engineering team.
  • Support authentication and policy requirements (802.1X, WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise, RADIUS integration where applicable).
  • Participate in implementation and testing activities.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and handover documentation.

  • Strong experience with Extreme Networks wireless solutions.
  • Experience with ExtremeCloud IQ and/or Extreme wireless controllers.
  • Enterprise WLAN design and implementation experience.

Statement of Work – Extreme Networks Wireless Consultant (Contract)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Extreme Networks Wireless Consultant to support a multi-site healthcare customer engagement. The requirement is to enable common wireless SSIDs across three independent environments, comprising two Cisco wireless networks and one Extreme Networks wireless environment. Cisco-related activities will be undertaken internally; specialist assistance is required for the Extreme Networks component. This is a short-term professional services engagement of approximately seven (7) days.

Scope of Services

The consultant will provide technical expertise to design, configure and support the implementation of the Extreme Networks wireless solution to align with a shared SSID architecture across the participating healthcare organisations.
