Exadata Consultant with ZDLRA

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Exadata Consultant with ZDLRA (Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance) expertise to support the design, implementation, administration, performance tuning, backup, recovery, and high availability of Oracle database environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata and ZDLRA in large-scale enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and administer Oracle Exadata environments.
• Provide hands-on administration and support for ZDLRA (Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance).
• Configure and manage Oracle databases running on Exadata platforms.
• Implement and maintain Oracle RMAN backup and recovery strategies integrated with ZDLRA.
• Support Zero Data Loss and point-in-time recovery requirements.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Exadata performance, storage, database, and infrastructure issues.
• Perform Exadata performance tuning, including Smart Scan, Storage Indexes, I/O optimization, and SQL performance analysis.
• Configure and support RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and other Oracle high-availability technologies.
• Manage database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Perform Exadata patching, upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning.
• Configure and troubleshoot ZDLRA protection policies, backup operations, and recovery procedures.
• Analyze backup failures and recovery issues and provide root-cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
• Work with Oracle DBAs, infrastructure teams, application teams, and vendors to resolve complex production issues.
• Participate in database migrations and consolidation initiatives involving Exadata.
• Create technical documentation, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams.
• Provide production support and participate in on-call/incident management activities when required.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle ZDLRA / Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle RMAN and backup/recovery architecture.
• Experience with Oracle RAC and ASM.
• Strong understanding of Oracle Data Guard and disaster recovery.
• Experience with Exadata performance monitoring and tuning.
• Knowledge of Exadata Storage Cells, Smart Scan, Smart Flash Cache, and Storage Indexes.
• Experience with Oracle database upgrades, patching, migration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting skills.
• Experience supporting large-scale production Oracle environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle Exadata certification is a plus
